Angina: What Is, Causes, Symptoms, and Diagnosis

What is Angina?

Angina pectoris is the chest pain caused when the myocardial walls lack oxygenated blood. The discomfort can be in the form of pressure, burning, or squeezing in the chest. It is a symptom, not a single disease.

Most commonly, it is caused by a decrease in the flow of blood to the heart. It is a result of the narrowing of the coronary artery. Some patients report it as a digestive issue.
