What Is Hemoglobin?

Hemoglobin is a specific protein in erythrocytes or red blood cells. It plays a critical role in the human organism. Thanks to hemoglobin, erythrocytes can bind oxygen in the lungs and transport it to the entire body's tissues. Thanks to this, the proper course of aerobic respiration processes in cells and the energy production necessary for proper functioning are possible.
